Hi, yeah there's questions about different types of protective devices and there opertaing characteristics i.e bi-metallic strip for overload, and the magnetic component of an R.C.D trip coil.
On load switching, and off load swithing/isolating.
Locations containing different zones.
You need to be able to calculate ZS, PFC, PSCC.
Also theres a little about the adiabatic equation, you wont need to use the formula but understand it's use and where to find the relevent information in the regs book regarding it's application.
I don't think its completely closed book, i thought you could use your regs book and on-site-guide?

Hi.

I've just sat this and there are no calcs required.

You need to look at the operation of fuses, rcd's and rcbo's, you need to understand exactly how they all work and what happens under different fault conditions.

Also you need to know the various supply types and what installations they're suited to and also what pfc is and the reasons that pfc is important.

You'll want to know all about switches, isolators etc and what the differences are.

Hope that helps and that I've not given enough away to warrant a flaming..

Cheers
