Hi all,

I've picked up a pair of these: Hue White and Colour Ambiance Nyro Outdoor pedestal | Philips Hue - https://www.philips-hue.com/en-gb/p/hue-white-and-colour-ambiance-nyro-outdoor-pedestal/1745530P7

Hue Nyro, Pedestal lights. The instructions state that they want to be mains wired into the house. Right now, I want to test them, and setup indoors. Can I fit a regular plug to a cable and just plug them in?

Is there any difference between these being wired directly into the mains, or plugged in. (the model does not use a Hue power adaptor of any type.)

Thanks
Shaun

That was my plan, wire it up with a 3amp plug and plug it in. I couldn't think of any reason why it wouldn't work, but there's almost nothing out there on messing with the Hue stuff.
