The title says it all. Basically i finished my level 2 a couple of years ago and i have been struggling to find a company that is willing to take me on. It has been a nightmare. In the last year i have literally given up.

The final straw came last week when i got turned down for an apprenticeship. I really dont know what to do ? The only construction experience that i have is that i worked as labourer for five weeks. Whilst i worked on site, i spoke to a sparke that had twenty years experience and he told me that he had been out of work for nine months before he got that job. He also told me how tough things our and its very competitive, espeacially with east europeans under cutting the work. He also told me that he knows a sparke that was working for £ 7, 90 an hour. If one day i became qualified i would like to earn 24 k to 30 k. Is that realistic or should i just wake up from dreaming ? what would you do if you were in my shoes ? I would really appreciate if some one gave me some sound advice. cheers
