rubbish. 'er indoors needs to be able to see the kitchen sink. the more light the better so she can do the dishes and come back to bed soonest.

Just googled "under cabinet lights". They range from 3W to 11W. The ones in my own recently fitted kitchen are 6W, IIRC.
This one is 48W!

I would say that is way over the top in a domestic scenario. I have these under my cabinets and they plug directly into each other to make up the length, mine can be colour temp adjusted and are very bright and inconspicuous the one you show will not be.

Yeah they are suitable for fitting on 'normally flammable material' very bright though got two 36w and a 18w fitting and as you say very very bright

The spec on the link states 4,000 lumens! That will be blinding as an undercupboard light (unless you live in Islington and have some kind of funky all-matt black kitchen ?)

I use these: Ultra Thin LED Light Fitting

They are great quality, bright (but not stupidly so) and, unlike cheap alternatives, last well.
