Fitting will be close to wooden border of cabinet.

can't see a problem.
 
You'll need to wear sunglasses! Far too high wattage for a kitchen.
Fittings suitable for mounting on a flammable surface should be marked with an F in a triangle.
rubbish. 'er indoors needs to be able to see the kitchen sink. the more light the better so she can do the dishes and come back to bed soonest.
 
can't add anything yet. still got florries under cabinets what i fitted 15 years ago. till they break theys bloody well staying there.
 
Yeah they are suitable for fitting on 'normally flammable material' very bright though got two 36w and a 18w fitting and as you say very very bright
