Good Afternoon

Could do with a hand please if poss, hopefully some of you out there that do some conservatory works.

In final stages of getting a deal together with a regional conservatory company, to carry out their electrical installs.

Will involve us having to cover a fairly large patch (well compared to the usual 15/20 min drive down the road and back)

EX & TQ postcode areas down here in Devon.

They're in the process of forwarding me their rates / allowances they are offering.

Just looking at the map and figuring out what will work best with all the possible travel involved.

Thinking something along the lines of any jobs that fall within a 50 mile round trip from my work address - no travel allowance required.

After this threshold then 45p/mile + standard hourly rate applies for travel.

The actual job itself is then priced on a per point basis, which is how we normally work.

First 3 x items @ £100/point, £60 point there after.

If a job is over the 50mile limit and under 3 x items job to be priced on and individual basis.

And there will be a clause written in that covers any underlying issues/ bonding/ RCD protection requiring further works.

How does that sound?

Thank you

sounds OK. don't forget that with a lot of these jobs it'll be 2 visits. 1st fix, 2nd fix.

The travel expenses part may be worth thinking more about

When you work at distance, you will charge, when you work in a smaller radius you won't
If you then do a lot of localish work, there would be no real benefit in this department

Perhaps you may be better including a standard transportation cost for every job.whether local or distant
The matter of winning or losing money will of course depend on the usual location of their work, but I think its worth a thought,it benefits them because the costs never vary and you gain if you end up having virtually all local work

Thanks chaps for your feedback.... just my first initial thoughts, we'll see what they have on offer then I'll go from there.
