have to move a consumer unit 6 feet and upgrade. normally i use a generic water proof terminal box (200mmx 305mm)and install the correct loading contact blocks to continue the rings and radials to the new location.
what do others use.
 
adaptable box with din rail inside. try and post a pic of 1 i done t'other week.
 
Another part of the question though is what's trying to be achieved by moving the CU. If it's because it's going to be in the way, then what's the point of replacing one box for another? Especially when you still have to get back into it for inspection purposes (screw terminals). Another option is inline crimp/shrink in trunking which achieves the same thing with less bulk (though not as sexy to look at or put together).
