:smilielol5::smilielol5::smilielol5:Impeccable logic!!! :smilielol5::smilielol5::smilielol5:

It's probably a better way to look at it though. The UK, particularly the SE is hugely over populated. House building hasn't happened at the rate it's been needed for 30-40 years, but the population has rocketed a lot more than anybody could have predicted.

Hum.....no.

The population explosion started around 2003 and has continued since :

United Kingdom Population | 1960-2016 | Data | Chart | Calendar | Forecast

Its 2016 now and little has been done by this and the 2 previous Governments .....

The cost of living crisis is DIRECTLY related to the increase in housing costs - strip out housing and most of our costs haven't changed.

Re: EU - How will you vote given the latest "news"

Definately vote to leave, the place is a mess. We can make our own laws, look after our own island a bit like how we used to.
This whole europe thing seems like a huge waste of time and money.
I'm sticking my neck on the line but i reckon huge change is just round the corner.

Re: EU - How will you vote given the latest "news"

Don't ask me what the answer is, I'm a house basher not a politician, but somehow, soon, something has got to be done about the outrageous housing situation. I feel so desperately sorry for the younger generation, they must despair when they look around and see so many older, comfortably off people, when they are facing such a hard time of trying to get on the ladder. Thanks to the whankers in RBS and the likes, they now face impossible deposits, either that or they are at the mercy of unscrupulous landlords who do not give a ---- about anything other than the maximum profit. It is about time the rental sector was regulated and people stopped from buying houses purely to rent out. How's this for a disgusting facet of capitalism, today I became aware that about 3 young couples turned up at a house viewing for a small terraced house, a very rare thing round my way. After waiting 30 mins with no agent arriving one of them phoned up to be told "oh sorry we have had a lot of interest and have had to cancel the viewings" No phone call, no nowt. Turns out some 62 year old retired bloke with too much disposable income has paid £10K over the odds so he can rent it out. It's disgusting and should be stopped. Margaret Thatcher is largely responsible for the lack of social housing by selling off all the council house stock, along with all the other general ****ing up of the country that happened on her watch. Oh and just for the record I am definitely in the OUT camp.

If Cameron wins concessions - the UK will be "paying" for it for decades.

OUT, OUT, OUT

Leave this undemocratic farce behind.

No doubt we will hear the speech soon, about how well he has negotiated on our behalf.
