BORNFREE

Hello everyone just a quicky to say i have just joined the forum hope to discuss lots of things and gain some knowledge in the process, regards bornfree..my first query is that i had a full rewire done in january, i obtained a certificate of instalation. I asked when i would reiceve the part p certificate and the reply was that he had to register the work and i would rfeiceve the part p then. This was nearly 3 months ago and i still have not reicevd it. 1) is this a legal requirment for the company to provide this, 2)what redress do i have ie: Should i report this to a electrical board or whatever it is, 3) how long should it be for registering for the part p ie: Will i lose entitlement to the part p certificate if it drags on and on. I believe it is a very important document to have. I have contacted the electrician several times, he doesnt refuse he just says i will sort it... Request for advice on this matter please would be very appreciated. Regards bornfree

Welcome along.:D

The spark has 30 days to register the job with the LABC form the date it was completed.

One he has notified it is a bit of a lottery as to when LABC pull their fingers out and send the compliance certificate to you.

OH DEAR i though it would be longer than that or should i say i was hoping. i have sent an amail to the electrician, it is quite to the point but not in malice hope to get his attention, what are the implications on me if i dont get it registered or if the electrician has not registered the work in the required time. regards bornfree
