All terminal screws are in place. One thing I will say that the picture doesn't show clearly is that the 6mm t+e incomer doesn't have support (clip) before entering the IP enclosure.

The 6mm t+e is the incomer.

Top answers topquark, but you've missed the bare conductors into the term blocks on 5 out of the 6!

The lid was ok Des, it was the only thing that was correct on this basic connection box although a label stating "Only idiots may enter" would have been appropriate!

Blast thought I'd got that down

Not as bad as my "simple" cooker circuit call out this morning. Someone had added a 1.5mm radial, with no earth connection, supplying a double socket into the 40A breaker (was an old wylex replaceable fuse) supplying the cooker circuit WTF! Copper was on show all over the CU.

I didn't take a picture of when I was taking it off. The forth core of the swa was cut at the same length of the steel wire and making contact. The swa was just laid on top of the flower bed in a snake like fashion with 4ft of slack before climbing the wall to the box, no cleats at all.

BTW I counted 18 but I'll have another look in the morning on fresh eyes.18+ faults in one little box! Unbelievable.

As I said before, this photo could be a good example of bad practice for the 2391 visual exam. BTW it was a DIYer that installed it if you haven't figured it out .

I don't like these types of IP boxes, and never let them be used on my projects, they are usually nothing but trouble in the long term. They are not very durable to UV either, the platic often disintegrating, is not uncommon. Those rubberised grommet type cable entries are all but next to useless, they are normally the first things that fall apart ... Cheap rubbish basically in my book!!!

LOL. No mate just an old horse stable now a garage/work shop (diy only).

Part of a large house rewire (that I ranted on about on a different thread) now it has got a new fused isso in the house, rcd, new IP term box, new 2 way garage dis board and I can sleep safe & sound tonight. Only god knows what the owner was thinking putting an un-sheafed cpc to live but can we tell them not to touch electrical work? NO!

Yeah, I would go for sixteen (not adding the external faults for installation) counting each incidence as one. so IP breaks being two: for the damaged screw hole and the missing screw (excluding the grommets).
You would not have thought it possible in that space!
Though I have just done a job that initially just looked messy but on further investigation I found loads of faults (and this was from an "electrician" doing outside work and not informing Building Control (not Part P registered).

Hmm this is a tough one as most of the faults have been previously mentioned making them hard to find haha, i may have one more tho Paul, are you a 2391 Inspector like me ?
