hey, i have an nvq level 3, 17th edition and 2391. can i do and sign off a periodic inspection on a property or do i need to be part p or assisgned to the niceic or someone? everyone seems to have a different opinion?

do what ya want if your competant to provide correct advice and have insurance in place..

you do not need to be a member of a part p scam to carry out pir's, now eicr's. you might have to notify, 1 way or another, ant remedial work that you do.

Competence is the key, a C&G 2391 "usually" indicates this and as I=P/U says, insurance, just in case.

That is Professional Indemnity Insurance.
Its usually an add on to the Public liability Insurance policy that you will already have
