the jointers at the power station i was working on had them. unless you get a big factory install ect, i dont think they woould be cost effective. Rachet cutters and normal crimpers do me!

I was working in a shop the other week, for a shopfitting electrical company, via an agency, and the sparks there used hammer and cold chisel, to crimp the new submains during a mains changeover!

Surely thats gota be cheaper than crimpers! :D

Already got the ratchet cutters, just thought of getting the last crimper I will ever need to own plus they are really cool :D in the states you can even buy crimping tools that are basically just two metal dies that are on a hindged joint and you wack it till the crimp takes, looks very heath robinson :)

Cost well out weighs the use I would get out of them Unless some kindly boss gets them as an HnS issue to assist reducing the strain arms are taking lol

Thats partly why I want them don't want to get RSI or arthritis later in life. second thoughts employing someone else to do it may be cheaper :D
