Hi, I was looking for a multi tool for work, not really for the electrical side necessarily but maybe the odd job when you need it at a push, but the tool mainly for opening electrical panels (winged, or screwed) opening boxes, or just being a generally handy tool for everyday tasks. Was wondering what other people had.
Cheers

Something like this?:

It features a knife, fork, spoon, tin opener, corkscrew, bottle opener, and I think it even has a screwdriver blade.

Leatherman and Gerber are the tops, but..... are all metal construction, so buy some big fat rubber gloves if doing elecs. That said, in a previous life (T.V./ Film), I would not leave the house without one.

Leatherman wave here had my eye on the leatherman charge saw a review somewhere might have been on the gadget show, £150 amazon however

i carry medium sized flat screwdriver, pliers and cutters in my bag most of the time. got a proper leatherman at home, maybe useful for camping or expedition, not for regular daily use.

Leatherman are expensive but I've had one for about 20 years. Once in a while I break something on it and I just drop it off at the agents and they usually completely refurbish it for free. Usually it comes back with a new file, new blades and saw etc. Apart from originally purchasing it I've never paid another cent afterwards.
