How are you guys enjoying the new forum version now that it has been up and running from the beginning of September.

must admit i prefer it looks wise. easy to use although i never personally had any issues with the old one. i can`t imagine how many hours were spent working on it though. credit to dan and everyone else who helped him behind the scenes for the changeover.

Never really had any issues with the old version and was a bit dubious of the change but now it has happened i prefer the new style over the old.

while I do like this version and find it easy to use I prefered the old version. small things like on your own profile you could find all the posts thanked by you or all your posts thanked by others. I miss these features.

i like the similar thread suggestions on this one at the bottom of the page when you are looking at a thread

Notice somebody clicked 'completely forgotten about old version'!!!

That was me :p

Although I hadn't noticed the point that hawk has made, if I had been used to doing that I would find it's absence annoying.

Im on it.

those tilers have better animation icons than us though :D we should lobby admin for ours :D:D

Im nearly on it.

Whilst it has been like losing a brother, the new model is slowly winning me round. There's a few issues we still need to deal with but it'll all come good in time I'm sure.

The old version didn't seem to take as much getting used to, but didn't have as many features or the accompanying glitches, eg being able to upload a picture from my computer is handy when it works.
I used to prefer the 'view unread posts' to the new 'what's new' button because the new one seems to throw up too much stuff (maybe because the forum is busier?) but saying that the 'view subscribed threads' option can be really handy although difficult to find.

Verdict: It's just different.

Are we going to get the chatbox back or is that what the tweets tag is for on the left hand side ?

I miss somewhere to write stuff that isn't worthy of a thread and probably isn't worth writing at all never mind reading, but nice to write anyway to get it out there kind of thing.

We will hopefully be having the flash chat rooms back, but not too sure on the chatbox as yet.

Hi and thanks to the creators for the forum I am getting used to it more,I did prefer the older one at first but thats the same as anything new lol
