Hello, I'm new to the forums so if I'm posting this in the wrong place please let me know.

I'm wrestling with interpretation in the most recent NEC codes on whether a non-metallic splice box can be placed inside the under counter dishwasher space for an existing dedicated hard wired circuit - or whether it must be placed in an adjacent space. I have plenty of room in the dishwasher space for it. I'm leaning towards interpreting that it must be in an adjacent space but would really like to avoid the extra work. Does anyone have any thoughts or advice on whether this is or is not allowed in the same bay?

(I already know I need to add GFCI/AFCI which I'm doing by upgrading the breaker in the panel.)

Thank you

By all means anytime you can use a PVC splice box and you don’t have to bond it. I’m kinda not following you on the dedicated space, could we have a picture
