Replacing Drayton Thermostat with Digital - Wiring Check

My drayton thermostat (3-wire) stopped clicking so decided to buy a wifi digital thermostat.

Digital thermostat dry contact is not wired to the live within the unit unlike the drayton. Can someone confirm my jumper cable position is correct? (i.e. does it matter which side of the dry contact (1) or (2) that the call (black) wire is connected?

Also, the yellow/green wire is connected to the boiler pipes (earth wire), does it serve any purpose for the thermostat?

looks good to me.
green/yel wire not required for the new stat, leave it terminated as it was on the original stat.

1 comment that I would make.

the colours of the wires should be

blue - neutral--(currently grey)
brown - live--(currently brown)
brown - switched live--(currently black)

sleaving would be ideal but if you don't have any, some coloured tape would be a good start.

Just want to say thank you for the help. I had spare heat shrink sleeves when I was rewiring my project cars wiring looms, didn't know it would be useful as a colouring tool here. It's all up and running and nice to have it integrated with Alexa!
