Shaver sockets and (unnecessary (?) isolation switches)

Hi all, just a simple one, when fitting shaver sockets, (on lighting circuit) do you connect them via a switched fused spur, and if so why? (assuming mi's dont ask for one)

why would you? a FCU is only fitted if there's a need to fuse down from, say, a 32A circuit to a lower amperage appliance.

I agree, it's always on our specs & drawings, wondered if I was missing something in the reasoning.

Switched fused spur not nessicary Unless the cable size is changing.

as for isolation switch( double pole isolator) I never have and can only think it’s for maintenance reasons.

Fused spurs are not used or required on lighting circuits. A 3a fuse will have no discrimination against a 6a MCB.

If only some extract fan manufacturers realised
