Siemens 2 gang 1 way dimmer switch

Hi There,

I have fitted a Siemens 2 gang 1 way dimmer switch the one with 4 square buttons , 2 amber and 2 blue status lights.
I wired the live and neutral wires from the main ceiling to Master 1 on the switch
My downlighters only had 1 live wire ( no neutral) which I wired to Master 2 on the switch.
I cannot get the lights to work independently I have to have the Master 1 on to work Master 2
This wiring set up worked with my old dimmer switch is there anything I need to do to get the new switch working independently. Help !!!!

According to the PDF tech manual I have seen of the switch you are referring to no neutral is required...indeed connecting a neutral to it would cause a short circuit. You must have a live and 2 switch lines.Connect the permanant live to L on master 1....and link a wire to L on master 2. The 2 switch lines connect to X on master 1 and 2.
