I purchased a no neutral smart switch to replace my current light switch, but I’m not sure if I’m able to wire it up safely...

The existing switch has 3 wires: L1, COM and Earth.
The new switch only seems to have 2 wire slots: L and L1.
(photos attached)

Am I able to safely wire up the new switch, and if so which wires go where?

TL;DR
Old switch has 3 cables, new switch only has slots for 2

In the back box you should find an alternative terminal for connecting the earth to.
then you are good to go.

Ah yes, I see. The wiring point at the back of this? Thanks
Any idea which way to connect the other two cables to L and L1 on the new box?

I would go brown to L
blue with brown tape to L1
if it works then all ok, if not, swap them over.

Nothing to do with the OP's question, but what is the forums opinion on the original cpc wiring?
We have a metal back box that isn't earthed when the faceplate is off. Compliant or not? The back box will be earthed when the faceplate is screwed back, but is it acceptable that it's not when it's off?
I know it's within the regs to earth the back box and not the faceplate, which is arguably more dangerous, but this is something I would never do anyway. I always fit a link between fitting and metal box, as was once required.
