this cable is 7 strand 0.203mm diam for each strand, metal braided screened.

What would be the volt drop across 250 foot?

Also awg cable would give that away. I'm afraid I don't know the formula for imperial and to be honest nor do most of the real world
 
7 strand though, close to 7/029, so nearest eqiuvalent would be 2.5mm. diam. .s 0.2, so csa is approx. 3mm

By jove Watson you got it, I didn't pick up on that Tel I saw screened and was thinking cat or telphone wire, but your spot on mate been a long week mate
