Hello all,
I have been getting a lot of advice and tips from this site, so thank you.
I am interested in restoring old lights and lamps and wondered if anyone could tell me what qualifications / training would be needed to be able to do this with a view to selling to the general public.
This would involve testing and re wiring where necessary.
I don't want to just cut the plug off and say get it checked, and hope people do not just fit a new plug with potential hazards already present in the system! I would like to know that anything i sell is safe and fit for use.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks, Mark

Thanks Marvo for the quick response,
That covers some of it, I don't want to build the lamps just rewire the existing lamp or light fitting where needed. If i rewire then pat test does this cover it? or do i need some sort of certification/qualification to rewire? Places i have seen that rewire these sort of lights say that they have been rewired by a qualified technician but not what that qualification is?
