Filling out the schedule of circuits when using a Split DB 5/5.
The main switch details are noted in Part 8.
Do you the enter the Rcd details in the schedule Part 11,then enter the corresponding circuit details.
Also being mcbs what do enter in the column for Rcd operating box, i usually put N/A..even though they are Rcd protected but are mcbs.

I know some will disagree about filling in the RCD rating on each circuit below the RCDs. I just feel that it's helpful to see at a glance whether a circuit is RCD protected or not.

Edited to add that I now fill in the RCD type (AC ,A, B etc). In this older cert I just had it as N/A.

Ok... may now do this too..not spoken with the Niceic about this yet..it’s one of those,a simple question but no definite right or wrong.

not spoken with the Niceic about this yet.

Our NIC inspector did speak to us about it and the advice was if the RCD is for additional protection ... record the highest 5x measurement. If the RCD is for fault protection ... record the 1x measurement but that applies to the RCD not any MCB's which I personally do not show a RCD time for.

Circuit 2 states 32a garage ring with 1 point served. Circuit 12 then states garage sockets on a 20a radial

Fine. But what if the RCD protects some circuits that don't require additional protection?

Well it shows that it’s difficult to fill out these forms,& mistakes are made..I always forget something when completing even missed out the tester information required.

The biggest problem with all these forms is that they hardly ever get reviewed and proof read properly once they are filled in, that is until the client posts it on here
