I believe a VS1363 plug is designed so the live conductor is always the shortest. And if you tighten the clamp it shouldn't pull out in the first place.
 
Ah cool I'll bare that in mind then Vortigern. Telectrix unfortunately she's an 8 month old Husky and it's their nature to chew things up especially during puppy stages :(
 
Cheers guys I'm confident rewiring the plug and the fuse should be intact as she's just chewed through the wire and pulled the plug off.

Just wanted to make sure a normal metal 3 pin plug would be fine as the current one has a plastic earth pin.

Luckily I unplugged it before going to bed.
