What's your thoughts on issuing certificates to either clients or other Starks to sign off work , and when doing what cert ?

Certs ts as normal ? Minor works if not new circuit etc , or always Eicr

Depends on the job really -minor stuff like replacing a few faceplates - I'll test it for continuity etc but no real need for a cert unless anything crops up
additions to a circuit - new socket, new switch etc MWC
anything more involved...EICR

I applaud you for answering that, I cannot make head or tail of what he is going on about???????

I agree, I can't make any sense of what is being asked really, but do get a general sense that the OP doesn't know which certs are for which purpose.

shut up you **** , question is ment on the basis i wouldnt be present when work is being completed and asked months or years down the line to check it and sign off , i know the difference between certificates

Surely it is down to LABC to determine what cert is needed to comply with being "signed off"

As for doing it years later on other peoples work, then you are opening yourself upto a minefield.

if you are going to certify work that has been done by other sparks/builders/kitchen butchers etc. then the only cert. you can do is a EICR. say, for example you were a MOT garage. would you issue a MOT for a car if the owner said someone else had fixed it|? no. you'd do your own MOT.

Cricky tel you can understand the OP as well then :sifone:

Erm negligance, who certified it? Glasogospark did. So why did the house burn down due to poor connections/ why weren't cables run in safe zone, etc

But as I say its your call.

yes but unlike yourself i wouldnt carry out an inspection and overlook such faults/problems as i am competent , obviously you dont deem yourself competent as you cant even fully inspect works that require a minor works cert never mind a full EICR

Insults because I couldn't understand your illegible ramblings ? Not my fault you are challenged in the educational ways pal.

And as for your question (now better explained) as to which certs you should use when signing off someones else's work, the answer is .... none, because you shouldn't be doing it unless you are a cowboy or a downright idiot.
