hello all...whats the typical cost for a new consumer unit fitted and the old wired fuse box removed im in a semi detached house in leicester.....i have checked previous posts on here but i cant find anything

Ball park, around £500.

That’s dependant on geographic location, awkwardness of where the board is, number of circuits….
Possible extra costs if there is an underlying fault that could prevent RCDs from operating.

Split rcd boards are cheaper, and you could request not to have surge protection fitted, but most electricians these days go for full RCBO boards,

Same as above, if the property is old which your posts suggests i would definetley get an EICR first incase to see what conditon the installation is in.
