Faulty dewalt line laser DW087

Hi I have a problem with my dewalt line laser DW087
It was all working fine until one day turning it on the horizontal laser line has split into 3 line instead off the one line. Because the line has split into 3 distinct lines the brightness of the laser has dropped to the point it's unusable. The vertical line is still as good as ever. Has anyone come across this fault, I have taken it apart and inspected and cleaned the lens but it's still the same. I can't afford a new one just yet with this recession. Any advise would be appreciated.

you should be able to get it calibrated at any hires store

Hi smuggler thanks for reply, do you think this would be a calibration issue. When the laser is put in horizontal mode the laser line is split into 3 lines all about 3mm apart. It's like the laser line is being deflected through a prism or something. because there are now 3 lines it's only 1/3 as bright.

not sure but it should be able to be fixed bit cheaper than a new one
