Hi,
I have been asked to look at a faulty 12v downlight in a hotel.I have been informed that the following measurements have been noted at the transformer input: L - E 240v,N - E 240v,and N - L 0v any ideas please.

Who noted the measurements:confused:Have you tested it yourself.Could be a faulty transformer.What about the lamp itself.:confused:
 
Trust me this is a broken nutural no dout about it, you are getting a potential differance accross live to earth as live is at 230v and earth is at 0v, a potential differace accros n and earth because the transformer is still connectde and the live goes in the transformer through its winding and out thus making nutural live. you get no pd accross the live and nutural because the nutural has no return path,
