Hi. I am trying to replace a heating timer with a smart switch. The current timer is the type with a dial on the front and 1 to 24 written on it where you pull out the little lugs to set what time the heating comes on and how long it runs for, APT is the make. The wires coming from the wall are going in to a live in, live out and neutral. There are no other wires in the wall. The smart switch has a live and live out but also has a neutral in and neutral out. Can I connect the neutral wire in the wall in to both connectors in the back of the switch using a connector putting the wire from the wall in one side and 2 wires coming out the other side, one for each neutral

The two neutrals are internally connected together electrically in the smart switch. The two terminals are provided for when you have one cable 'in' from the power source and a separate cable 'out' to the load.
