Doing up a bungalow 3-4 days a week, currently half finished!
When we leave we switch off sockets and shut off water. Sometimes when switching off the socket feeding tv or the socket feeding the recliner transformer (luxury!) the RCD trips (not the MCB for the ring).
The sockets are newly installed BG Nexus metal white with chrome switch.
Searching on line there were tripping issues with this series around 2010, when switching off when under load, but mine are not old stock!
If you jab the switch it hardly ever trips but if you switch it off ‘normally’ it trips about 50% of the time.
What could possibly be wrong with a reasonable quality socket outlet or could it be a wiring issue?
