hi people, i carried out my first periodic yesterday and was asked for the pssc on lowest earth and live to nuetral. Is this the same as pfc and if not what is the method for testing?

appreciate any help

pfc is the higher of pefc or pscc (although on pme they will be same)

erm sorry not very clear:

Pfc is the highest possible fault current out of the following:
pefc between line and earth
pscc between line neutral

the higher of the two readings is to be recorded as pfc

as a tncs uses same conductor for earth/ neut then the reading would be the same for both tests.

pssc is between line and neutral single phase
pfc is between earth and line single phase

the highest is then recorded but a pme will be the same for both (tncs)

Like I said, didn't wish to cause offence, but I hope the OP has damned good indemnity insurance !!!
