Up coming job....
fb currently in downstairs hall in a little cupboard- along with the head and meter.
job is a rewire anyways- but customer wants new fb moved into garage- on other side of wall to where it is at the minute. (Directly on other side of wall- litterally just popping through wall)

Run is <3meters but i will obviously have to drill a hole through the wall for my 25mm tails and 16mm earth

was planning on having a switched isolator where the old fb is- then tails into garage to new fb.

but as tails go through wall- guessing they need additional protection- do this by a upfront 100ma rcd?

cheers guys

Passing through a wall is not something which requires additional protection by RCD. And even if it did, a 100mA RCD is not appropriate for providing additional protection - only fault protection.

just an isolator. no need for fused, although that is an option. maybe a wylex KMF with 80A fuse.

What's the point in moving if then if your having to have something there still??
Surely it's making it more costly and inconvenient??
