Hi all,
I have a stud wall with central heating pipes running vertically down the middle. It is my intension to put 2 zone valves in here with the wires running up to the ceiling. The vales will be accessible behind an access panel in the wall. In the opinion of forum members would the presence of the access panel and the wires being viewable behind it be sufficient to create a "safe zone” running vertically to the ceiling?
If not then could anyone offer a solution as to what would be appropriate?

Thanks
Neil.

If the valves are behind an access panel, there would not be a safe zone IMHO!

But if you can guarantee that the cables are more than 50mm from the surface you should be OK.

I've got my tin hat on!

How are you planning on joining the valve cables? Presumably they are standard motorised heating valves so will only have relatively short tails on them?
