Plus it amazes me that the homeowner is also supposed to register the job to HSE if it lasts longer than the time limit or has more than x number of people on site etc etc. The homeowner has equal responsibility if they are having an extension and don’t employ a principle contractor but instead get local individual trades. How many of them know that I wonder?
