hi there guy's i have to move a consumer unit from the understair's cupboard,to the larder cupboard,which back's onto the wall,where the original consumer unit sit's,the problem i have is i can't remember the maximum length the 25mm tail's you are allowed to have, without installing a separate i00 amp isolater,cheer's john

Not an isolator, an overcurrent protective device and it's normally 3 Metres depending on the DNO requirements.

It's the DNO that reccomend a maximum length of supply tails before an additional switchfuse is needed, the general rule of thumb is 3M if internal and 4M if external.
