Worklight recommends

Any recommendations for some rechargeable work lights. I’ve seen a lot of people with Unilite but I’ve never owned one? I’m sure there are alternatives.

Whatever is cheap. I have a Unilte that came cheap and it's great, but no way is it worth anything close to the retail price. I have a couple of cheap worklights from Erbauer and Defender (think that's a B&Q own brand) - they don't last as long as the Unilite, and nor are they as bright, but provide sufficient light and represent great value for money.

I you want something to last all day, then look at something from whatever brand of tools you use and stick one of your own tool batteries on it.

A light is a light and the only variables worth considering are battery capacity and price. As a spark you won't need to light large areas at once.

Much as I hesitate to recommend a LAP product, the LAP 1000 lumen rechargeable lights at Screwfix are ok. I've had a couple for a long time (>3 years). They last most of a day. About £20.
I complement them with a head torch ( Luceco Rechargeable LED Head Torch Green 150lm , currently £13)

That simple and inexpensive collection does me fine.

Those Luceco head torches are great value. Battery could be better, but at the price point (think I paid around £10), you could buy a couple and save significantly over some competing products.

Agreed. My only bug bear is the silly PIR-mode button, obviously intended for security guards. But for the price I'll live with it!

In my toolbox I also have the emergency backup - 2 x G4 12v LED bulbs soldered together in series. In an emergency they can be shoved into most brands 18v battery terminals.

I've got a rechargeable one which also doubles as a power bank which picked up from either lidl or Aldi (can't remember which) for £20 which does pretty well.

The head torch gets far more use tough, and again that was a cheap 'whatever the wholesalers had behind the counter' kind of thing.

Took me about a year to figure out that PIR business, but I now use it as a battery saving measure - this works well provided you aren't in a tight space where it'll go on and off at exact opposite times you want it to.

I have Dewalt 18v tools so have a couple of their hand held torches and the tripod work light.
Both are great at what they do.
The tripod light is expensive for what it is but it is very good and runs off my power tool batteries.
I use it a lot more than I thought I would.

Only used a good quality (Ledlenser) head torch for many years. Last work lights I used were 500W halogen types, which doubled up as heaters in the winter.
