Hello all,

I have recently fitted a g4 alarm which has been working fine and the customer has asked me back to fit a smoke alarm to the system. I have fitted a aico ei 141rc with an ei 129 trigger module. The trigger has two n/o contacts and i have wired them to zone 7. However when connected the panel sets the alarm off and if i dissconnect the smoke zone 7 on the keypad stays permantley lite.

How do i make zone 7 a fire alarm zone, i thought it was from the system flag menu which is what i thought i had done but i cannot seem to rectify the fault. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The opening post is old yes, but all the op had to do was use the 128 base instead of the 129 from Aico.

Chris, get a cheap alarm panel of flee bay and have a play first.
As for fire alarms, manufacturers do training and FIA do courses for the regs side of things.
It helps a lot if you work for a company that install/maintain security and fire systems.

If the op uses a Ei428 the is nothing stopping him using Aico on the Accenta.....I use them to link Aicos in domestic flats, to the main fire alarm panels to provide a zoned link.
