yo, fittering about here tell me if im right.

example: identifying the minimum size of cpc required to ensure protectionfor copper conductors protected by say 50A tybe b mcb to .

so 250x250x0.4=25000 sqare root= 158.1/ 115=1.37..

so is this correct by multiplying type b by 5?

and my 50A is ok with 1.5mm cpc??

Why 0.4 and why k 115

0.4 time rquired for operation of protective device and k=factors from brb 54.2-54.6

im just going through notes in my book and playing with the numbers a little as i think might come up on my exam. sorry if the questions arnt comming across clear.. as you know im running and crawling same time,

It's always easier to show all of your values first:

I=
k=
t=

Then do the calculation.

ok for you iq I=250
k=115
t=0.4

the example im moving around is this I=80
k=115
t=0.4 which to myself equals 0.44 so 0.5mm cpc
