Are there any regs preventing the connection of a single socket to power a gas hob ignition circuit with a 3 amp fused plug to a cooker outlet suppling an single oven. I don't want the moulded plug removed or spur off the ring mains because the outlet is close by and accessable.

perhaps his regs. book is on holiday.

it looks like it. what size cable are you running to the 3 amp spur
6mm less than 1 metre length to a double socket now, to take both the oven ( which has a 13amp plug) and ignition circuit in the gas hob (3amp plug). The cable to the cooker outlet is 10mm and has an isolation switch.

1.5mm to spur adjacent to cooker outlet fused at 3amp and stop worrying about cutting moulded plug off it won't in any way void the guarantee as many think as long as you certify it to show it was connected by a competent person.
