We are doing some market research where we would like to find out from Sparkies how they round their time they spend on jobs.
Do you round them up to the next quarter hour, half Hour or full Hour or totally different if we havent listed it here.
Send us the comments how you work out your invoice for your jobs.

Still calling Cheltenham home, lived their 10 years, due to Brexit we had to exit. My hubby is English and I'm German, no easy way of staying in UK ! We are in the process of building an app for Tradespeople for the UK market, hence the question to all british sparkies :)

Hi Sandra, you still have a good digital footprint from the past in Cheltenham :)
To answer your question:- Most of my time is charged on a time and materials basis,
My hourly rate is started when i arrive on-site and stops when i leave site. I can round up or down to the nearest 1/2hr, as i have a fixed set of clients and my time on-site is easily tracked by clients, if they want to, lol.
e.g. If its say 10mins over i round down and otherwise i round up.
I log hours /materials on a spreadsheet when i get home and invoice when the job is complete, which can and often does take several visits. I am using a 11 year old version of Quickbooks

Hope this helps...
