Why rule out a generator or solar?
 
Volt drop is 4.6% for a 6 a supply. These are the sort of people to have a full brass band not a stereo!

If they are "the sort of people to have a full brass band" then I assume they have the brass to put in a decent supply I suggest you spell out to the customer exactly what a 6A supply will deliver then let them decide if it is enough
 
Tbh, why paint yourself into a corner? If its a big budget job, which by the sounds of it it is, run a 16 or 25 in. Its an extra few pounds on the job. Remember you only need to use 2c, not 3.
 
And, as has already been said, its not just your VD at that length, watch for your Zs, too.
