Can anyone throw some light on this issue , i have a family member who has been told by the council she will have to move her cooker and hob ( when they do the re-fit of a new kitchen )
To the outside wall of her property , (not inner walls ) .
I can only imagine reason would be fire , i have looked in OSG and big red book , but no mention ???
Osg does show appliance in zones on a outside wall .

Any help or thoughts would be of interest.
Thanks in advance ....

heard the opposite recently, that cooker should not be placed on outside wall as an open window could blow flame out (gas) and leave gas on.

think lot of people sitting in offices with too much time on hands, although nothing written in bs7671 or building regs it is still their property so they will do as they seem fit.
