Discuss Radial Circuit in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

green king is OK. as mentioned previously, hobgoblin is moreish and theakstons old peculier is even nicer.

Recently i have wired a small dwelling house.

I have used 2.5 mm Wire for a radial circuit of 2 double and 2 single sockets. (probably the cable length of 35 m)

I am a bit conscious to know whether it will work for longer time. or i will need to make it a ring circuit.

WHAT DO YOU SUGGEST?

So you have already "wired it", and now you are asking us whether it will work for very long?
I'm guessing that this should be in the DIY section.

This thread has deviated a bit hasn't it, a good pint of brewers droop might be just the biscuit

Well, we've seen it all now. Not only do we have people asking for advice on how to "do electrics" before commencing work, but we have questions after they've already finished. Excellent.

.

Back on track ? Thats fair comment, perhaps I can get it back on track with some advise to the forum and the op

After 30 something replies to a very suspect post

I suggest, stop throwing in cables, making them live and generally playing with electrics,it can be dangerous

radials have their place. why use twice the amount of cable to install a ring that's only ever going to carry < 20A?

If I got a fiver for every radial, I have had to convert into a ring, due to lack of good circuit design it's been loads of money!!.
