Hi,

I have a 6kw PV with a 6kw Growatt battery and invertor. I have a solar iboost going to the hotwater tank. Recently I had a Ohme Home Pro installed.

My issue is the iboost and Ohme don't appear to work in sync with each other. The iboost previously sent all excess energy to the hot water and when doing that we be importing zero electricity. If a sudden demand came in, the iboost would automatically stop and redistribute the load.

When I charge my car, the solar iboost can be sending 3kw to the water and I can be importing 3kw to charge the car. I've ended up disconnecting the iboost so I can charge the car without importing any electricity.

I think the CT clamp may be in the wrong place, maybe after the EV charger so it's not registering current coming in when the EV is charging.

I've attached a couple of photos. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I could try moving the clamp to?

Many thanks

James

Yes, the clamp is in the wrong place and doesn't pick up the current going to the EV box. It needs to be anywhere upstream of the two junction boxes to the right. Probably the easiest place to fit it would be where the other CTs are down at the bottom.

Hi thanks for the reply. I've moved the CT clamp and typically there is not enough sunlight today to test the iboost. Hopefully give it a go tomorrow 👍
