Tommorow Im going to be testing a couple of circuits in domestic properties, bathrooms specifically.

1st circuit - Fan, wired from CU to isolator to transfomer to fan. How would one do an insulation test on this without blowing the tranny or fan. Is it ok to just test up to the Isolator?

2nd Circuit - Shower, again with the insulation tests, is it ok to just test to the isolator because i dont want to blow the shower up lol.

3rd circuit - Bonding, i think it goes to the shower i solator to the shower i think, i haven't really looked at it yet, but just testing this would it be a case of method 2 of the Continuity test I.E long lead?

Hi,

1, yes just test to isolator.
2, take front off shower and disconnect wiring test to point of connection in shower ( be aware if isolator has a neon when you do IR.
3, the earth should be terminated in isolator and in shower unit, test continuity from Cu to shower.

Have fun...............Howard
