Discuss The best Led strip lights in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Feeling inspired by this to step out of my rut and have a go with the led strip lighting, but I'm a bit put off with the step change in parts - have I got out of bed on the wrong side today?
I pick a brand (Ansell looked good), buy the tape, then a few transformers (because it's never one run of cabinets), then some cables, then some connectors then some corners then some profiles and then some other profiles then some mounting clips and maybe some 90 degree connectors, they look good. And then I see myself getting to the job and having a dooh moment (shoulda bought more of ...). Is there a grab and go kit?

Know what you mean Wilko.

I'm not really impressed with the 3M adhesive tape LED's, and the extrusion can knock up the price. So IMO would not use the adhesive tape stuff for under cabinet, with steam etc in kitchens. I tend to use Axiom LED Strip Lights for under cabinet, but then its not colour changing, dimmable etc.

I've only had one customer so far that wanted colour changing u/c lights, but he wanted to do that himself, so I just provided the lighting points, and never got to see the end results.

Hello Guys,

I applied for Electrician work. I was asked to provide ECS card and IPAF card but unfortunately I don't have IPAF card. I called the providers but they seems not to know what type of IPAF training I required.
Please can anyone help me here. Even when I checked, there is upto 8 IPAF.

Thanks ...
