Yeah I do agree, with most youngers lacking the work hard ethic trades are going to suffer in the long term.
I understand that with late bloomers not wanting to sit a classroom for four years with 16/17 year olds is a huge problem and the block training colleges do help alleviate that. It does beg the question to whether most of the adult retraining guys and girls are actually getting jobs once they've passed to progress their knowledge base or are they being forced to make it alone with next to know practical or technical experience...
 
The select committee were told
The government agreed to listen
The schemes had a word in the ear of the all powerful(civil servants)
The minister was put in his place
The recommendations were rejected,appeasement of the schemes prevailed
The select committee moved on to another "national scandal" never to be heard of since

Next item for urgent action if you please :)
