with the value for volts Mv x Ib x l/1000 7.3 x 39 x 28/1000 = 7.97 V how can i comfirm this value is acceptable??? any help would be great

i guessed tht but where abouts in the regs is itam i looking in the rite place example table 4d1a???

table 4D5 PAGE 282 i think it is in the regs for a 6mm cable so if im usein a 40A circuit breaker id select the value nearest the breaker size in amps??? in this case would tht be 47A???

what cable type are you installing if twin +CPC OSG page 133 Table 6E2 voltdrop and table 6f current carrying capities for single table 4D1A current carryinng and Table 4D1B for voltage drop.

What are you installing?

If it's lighting <3% VD is ok
If it's anything else <5% VD is ok



Soz just noticed it's a 6mm cable.... so as long as VD is <5% it's ok.

if its 5% would the value calculated need to be below 38Amp which 7.97 obviously is so am i rite with my opinion??

Volt drop allowed =230x5%=11.5v
