Hello All,

This is my first post so go easy!

Basically, i have been offered a job at a friends property development and maintenance company as the only electrician. I am fully qualified time served to 17th edition and have sat my 2391 (passed my practical, awaiting results on my written). I am competant in inspection and testing and certificates. What i need to know is,

1, Does the company or myself need to be registered to an organisastion e.g NIC/EIC, Napit, ECS
2, Do i myself need to be Part P registered or is it the company who needs the Part P

Thanks

If your directly employed then they will pay for the part p registration as such and such property maintenance ltd,the company director will be the duty holder and you will be the qualified supervisor.

Question 1 & 2 (as they are both asking the same thing.)

Either.
If you are employed by the company then you can work under their registration.
If you register yourself, you must only sign off work that you have personally designed, installed and I & T'd - which, if you are the only spark, shouldn't be an issue.

The answer could also be neither - if you don't do any work in Dwellings..........you haven't said.
