Hi padmore12345
Firstly, discard the Download Manager CD and program from your computer. There are no MFT drivers on the disc. The disc was issued for future use.
It is not required as you are using the Powersuite Onsite software.
As you have mentioned the MFT and the computer are paired but you are still having connection problems.
Bluetooth within Windows uses software comms ports; it is probably this that is not set correctly that is causing your problem.
Once the MFT is successfully paired with the computer launch the Powersuite Onsite software and opens a suitable certificate, e.g. Electrical Installation Certificate and choose the Schedule Of Tests Results page.
At the top of the screen, note the File, Edit, Options, Window, Help menu headers
Click on the Options menu and choose Bluetooth Preferences.
A window will open displaying your MFT pairing code and a comm number will be displayed with the option to change to alternative numbers. Basically only comm numbers with (B) suffix are used for Bluetooth communication. You will see there are many software comm. numbers but only a few with (B) suffix.
Simply it is now a matter of elimination, choose a (B) number and select OK.
Conduct a 500v insulation test (leads are not needed) and select L-E on the Red Bluetooth button, hold the Red to transmit to the certificate. If a Blue requester appears the Bluetooth connection is complete, however if a Red requester appears with the MFT displaying Err then it is a matter of choosing a different (B) comm. number.
In practice this selection should only take a few minutes.
It should be mentioned that this procedure only is required on a handful of Bluetooth devices, pairing only is generally sufficient.
