Callum Jackson

Hello I'm Callum,

Just thought I better introduce myself. New to the Forum but its great. Had my 302 retake today and passed with a credit (my first one I failed only got a poxy 38%) and I really think this forum helped with that. I've been lurking on here for a couple of weeks reading up!

I am currently doing my level 3 looking to break into the industry in June or July. Although as i am sure most of you know and anyone at college will know its very hard to break into. The southwest seems dead, 16 lads on my course and only 2 have regular work.

Thanks again guys look forward to using this very useful tool more. :)

Hello Callum Jackson, welcome aboard. Enjoy the forum. :D

Hi Cal, it's hard to break in but it's worth it. Don't give up, keep trying, keep learning and you will get there!:welcome:

Cheers guys :)

Yeah i have no intention on giving up. I enjoy it to much. It seems to be a cracking profession. Office job is not for me!

Is there many Ex forces blokes on here that i can talk to? I was looking at maybe joining the REME if i keep struggling to get work.

Tony's signature is:-Nemo me impune lacessit
so that has got to be Army (i think!)

Nemo me impune lacessit the Latin motto is often translated as No one attacks me with impunity, or rendered in Scots as Wha daur meddle wi' me? ("Cha togar m' fhearg gun dìoladh" in Scottish Gaelic). It is also alternatively translated into English as No one can harm me unpunished.
It’s the motto of the Most Ancient and Most Noble Order of the Thistle, the Scottish chivalrous order, is also that of the British Army regiments The Royal Regiment of Scotland, Scots Guards and Royal Scots Dragoon Guards. It was also the motto of several former units of the British Army, including the Royal Scots, Royal Scots Greys, Royal Highland Fusiliers and Black Watch, some of which went on to be amalgamated to form the Royal Regiment of Scotland in 2006. The motto is also that of the Royal Company of Archers and has been displayed upon the unit's second standard since 1713, following the grant of a Royal charter by Queen Anne.
