I would recommend that the bottom of the socket box is level with tile course between bottom and next tile. This would normally be either 4" or 6" above worktop.

building regs stipulate between knee height and --- height. knees for washing machines. ---- for above work top. ssimplesss.

About 1.2m fits nicely, then again Ive just been doing a kitchen today and the kitchen fitter insisted they went 100mm above the worktop height which is straight above the upstand of 100mm, personally I think it's too low, but the kitchen fitter said put them there and so did the customer.

but usually, 1200mm seems ok, hang on, but another kitchen I did, it was crucial that they lined up with the tiles.

Keep doing what you are doing. Co-ordinate with customers preference, wall unit heights, and size and placement of tiles.
In my experience its the tiles that have the biggest say.

Would look terrible imho. And no better than sockets on top of skirting throughout the rest of the house. Personally I'd have insisted on another 50mm above the upstand.

i always line up the bottom of the back box @ 4" or 6" above worktop. that way there's a better than even chance that tony tiler gets his tiles straight.

Personally I do them 1100 to the middle of the box above a worktop, just looks the best height to me not too high not too low, as have found in the past, putting them 1200 to top to match everything else is a little high when above a worktop.
Also who gives a rats behind about the tiler etc....nobody makes it easier for us.
